How to Use the Bible Verse Image Generator

Step 1: Select a Background Image

Open the menu under Step 1: Image Selection Options.

You will see several ways to choose a background for your Bible verse image.

Select an Image From the Gallery

Choose Select image from gallery from the dropdown menu.

A gallery of available images will appear beneath the search box. To select an image:

1. Browse through the gallery using the horizontal scrollbar.
2. Use the search field to filter the available images.
3. Click or tap the image you want to use.
4. The selected image will appear in the main preview area.

You can select another gallery image at any time.

Upload an Image From Your Computer or Device

Choose Use an image from your device.

1. Select the Select Image button.
2. Browse to the image on your computer, phone, or tablet.
3. Choose the file.
4. Wait for the image to appear in the preview.

Common image formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP may be supported, depending on your browser.

Use an Image From a URL

Choose Use an image from URL.

1. Paste the direct image URL into the field.
2. Select Submit.
3. Wait for the image to load.

A direct image URL will often end with an image file extension such as:

.jpg
.jpeg
.png
.webp

Some websites prevent their images from being loaded by other websites. If an image does not load, download it to your device and use the upload option instead.

Take a Photo With Your Webcam

Choose Take photo with webcam.

1. Select the Take Photo button.
2. Allow camera access when your browser asks for permission.
3. Select the correct camera if more than one camera is available.
4. Position the camera.
5. Capture the photo.
6. Use the captured photo as your background.

Camera access normally requires the website to use a secure HTTPS connection.

If the camera does not open, check your browser's camera permissions.

Use a Solid-Color Background

Choose Use solid color.

You can then select:

• A background color
• The image width
• The image height

This option is useful for simple quote cards, announcements, Scripture graphics, and minimalist designs.

Step 2: Add Bible Verse Text

Under Step 2: Text Overlay Options, enter your Bible verse into the text field.

For example:

The text will appear over the selected background image.

Add More Text Boxes

Select Add text to create another text box.

Multiple text boxes are useful when you want to separate:

• The Bible verse
• The Scripture reference
• A heading
• A devotional statement
• A website name
• A short prayer

Each text box can be edited and positioned independently.

Duplicate a Text Box

Select the duplicate icon beside a text box to create a copy of it.

This is useful when you want another text box with similar formatting.

Delete a Text Box

Select the red trash icon beside the text box you want to remove. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Customize the Text

Select the gear icon beside a text box to open its advanced settings.

Font

Choose the font used for the text. A bold or condensed font often works well for Bible verse images because it remains readable over detailed backgrounds.

Font Size

Increase or decrease the size of the text. Use a larger size for short verses and a smaller size for longer passages.

Font Weight

Choose normal or bold text when the option is available.

Text Color

Select the main color of the text. White text often works well over darker backgrounds. Black or dark text works well over light backgrounds.

Outline Color and Size

An outline helps separate the text from the background image.

A common combination is:

• White text
• Black outline

This combination usually remains readable across both light and dark areas.

Shadow

Add a shadow behind the text to improve visibility and separation from the image.

Text Alignment

Choose left, center, or right alignment. Centered text often works well for Scripture graphics, while left alignment may be easier to read for longer passages.

Horizontal and Vertical Position

Use the offset settings to move the text left, right, up, or down.

Rotation

Rotate the text slightly when you want a more creative layout.

Capitalization

Use the capitalization option to display the text in uppercase when desired.

Text Background

Enable a background behind the text when the image is too busy for the words to remain readable.

Step 3: Generate the Image

After selecting the background and customizing the text, select:

The application will create the completed image and display a download preview.

Download the Image

Select Download to save the generated PNG image to your device.

The file will normally appear in your browser's Downloads folder.

On a mobile device, your browser may ask whether you want to download, save, or share the image.

Helpful Design Tips

Keep the Text Readable

Avoid placing text over the busiest part of an image. Use an outline, shadow, or text background when necessary.

Do Not Add Too Much Text

Shorter verses generally create cleaner images. For longer passages, reduce the font size or divide the passage into multiple text boxes.

Leave Space Around the Edges

Avoid positioning text too close to the outer edges of the image. Leaving space helps prevent the text from appearing crowded or being cropped when the image is shared.

Use Contrasting Colors

Use light text over dark images and dark text over light images.

Include the Verse Reference

Add the book, chapter, and verse so viewers can easily find the Scripture in the Bible.

Troubleshooting

The Image Does Not Load From a URL

The website hosting the image may block access from other websites. Download the image first, and then upload it from your device.

The Upload Button Does Not Work

Check that your browser allows file selection and that the selected file is a supported image format.

Try refreshing the page and selecting the file again.

The Camera Does Not Work

Confirm that:

• Camera permission is enabled.
• The website uses HTTPS.
• No other application is currently using the camera.
• The correct camera is selected.

The Text Is Difficult to Read

Try:

• Changing the text color
• Adding an outline
• Increasing the outline size
• Adding a shadow
• Enabling a text background
• Moving the text to a less detailed area

The Generate Button Is Disabled

Make sure a background image or solid color has been selected. The generator requires a background before the completed image can be generated.

The Downloaded Image Looks Different

Wait until all fonts and images have fully loaded before generating the image.

You can also refresh the page, rebuild the design, and try again.
